The Houston Ebony Opera Guild (HEOG) is welcoming new singers to audition for the HEOG Chorus as we prepare for our exciting 2026–2027 season.

Under the artistic direction of Gregory D. McDaniel, the HEOG Chorus continues a proud tradition of bringing voices together to celebrate artistic excellence, community, and the rich legacy of African American music.

Whether you are an experienced choral singer, a trained vocalist, or looking for an opportunity to return to singing and performing, we want to hear from you!

Altos, tenors, baritones, and basses are especially encouraged to audition.

If you are interested in joining the HEOG Chorus but cannot attend one of the scheduled audition times, email us to inquire about an alternate audition before a Monday evening rehearsal, from 6:30–7:00 PM CT.
